The RCI Timeshare Exchange Program
Of all the worldwide timeshare options, RCI timeshares are but one. The other big players include Westin, Interval International and Trading Places International, but do not forget some of the very good smaller companies such as Redweek and Dial An Exchange. But what about RCI (Resort Condominiums International), why do they have the lion’s share of the timeshare exchange market?
RCI timeshares are part of the Wyndham Worldwide family - one of the world’s largest and most successful hospitality companies. In 1974, RCI timeshare was the first to develop the idea of vacation exchanges and now hold the biggest share of this popular market. Now, there are around four million members visiting nearly 4000 different timeshare resorts in over 100 countries. The whole system is supported by an array of backroom employees that come together to promote this type of vacation. Based in the USA, RCI employ approximately 3,700 people around the globe.
Timeshare owners typically use condo style properties, cottages and hotel suites in many different locations across the world. The timeshare resort will normally have luxury facilities such as jacuzzi, golf, first rate gyms, swimming and tennis to name but a few. Your accommodation will also include home-like touches. Heck, you can even go on a cruise as one of your RCI vacations if you wish!
The type of vacation you prefer is also catered for. So, if you like to play golf, visit casinos, go scuba diving or skiing as well as family vacations, then the choice is yours. The majority of venues appear to be across the US, but there are also a large number in Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East, Asia and the South Pacific to choose from.
When buying from RCI timeshare, you can do so using timeshare financing products, credit card or of course cash. As for cost, you are probably looking around at least $15,000 on average. As not everyone's needs are the same, there are a range of options to purchase, such as fixed or floating weeks and a versatile points system. It’s worth a minute to quickly explain the points system with RCI timeshare as these may differ slightly between companies. When you buy points, you can use them to 'buy' a week in different locations. You can even use points to buy flights, cruises, hotels and much more.
RCI timeshare is certainly one of the companies you should consider if you are looking for a worldwide timeshare option. Their website has a wealth of information allowing you to check out the types of holiday you can get and just where you can go.
